Quick entry... I'm alive, and my internship is going well.  It is a LOT of work, but I really like it.  I'm a little bit homesick, but I'm usually too busy to really think about it.  I got to work today at 7:30... and now it's 11, and guess where I am... work!  I'm getting a lot of overtime.  I wish it didn't take me an hour to get home, but I think they're getting us a hotel this week since we're working so much.  I hope that everyone is enjoying college, life is not quite as much fun when you have a grown up job.  Good night... hopefully I can go to bed soon!

I am sooo ready for the semester to be over!  Only three more finals, and then I get to go home!!!  I have a shorter break than usual because my internship starts on Jan. 3.  I can't go on a weeklong trip this year, and that makes me sad.  But I do have a place to live now!  Yay for not having to sleep under a bridge!  Sharon, who is now officially one of the most AMAZING people that I know, is going to let me live with her!  I am excited about this... there are just no words.

I am going to miss College Station, and my wonderful roommates, and my friends, and AFC, and kinda knowing where I am going most of the time, and those times when there is really nothing to do, which are occuring more frequently since I have quit my job here.  Hopefully I will get to come back to visit.  The interns that are starting in Jan. went to dinner with the interns from last year and some people from the company, and they said that they worked 55-70 hrs per week.  That is kinda scary, but I guess it will be okay.  It's only for ten weeks, and we get paid time and a half for overtime.

In other news, our duplex is all decorated for Christmas!  I love it!  Except I think that the lights in front look kinda sad cause there aren't very many of them.  But other than that, it's great.  Christmas trees make me smile.

Random story time...  yesterday, I was making food for Jenny and me and I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, and I burned all of my fingers... sad times, for sure.  It really isn't that bad, but I did feel kinda stupid, and it hurt.  But the food was good (at least I thought so), and we watched Seabiscuit, which I hadn't seen.  It was a good movie, and probably would have been better if my hands hadn't started burning at random times and distracted me.

Well, I have a final at 8 on Monday, so I'm going to go study.  Or at least try to look like I'm studying.

Since I probably won't update for a long time... Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm updating, and it hasn't even been a week!

Today has been really good so far.  I had a walk in my class this morning, so
I've had nothing that I had to do since 9.  So I went to the rec, went to HEB, did some homework, and made a list of about 25 books that I want to read... I'm going to Barnes and Noble after class tonight.  I wish that I had more money to spend on books and such.  I always feel bad about buying books, like I should be saving money for food or rent, especially for next semester when I'm paying rent in two places.  Speaking of that, if anyone has a good idea about a place to live in Houston, I would appreciate it... so would my mom.  She's freaking out about this, and strangely, I'm not really yet.  It's only a matter of time though.

I am super excited about fall retreat this weekend!  I bought a gallon of water today, because water is very important to me, and if I remember correctly, there was not enough water there for me last year.  I love water... and I hate that College Station water is nasty and bottled water is expensive.  Dasani is wonderful, it makes my life worthwhile.

Other things that I am excited about today are:  tent sale before our next football game, going home during the first weekend in November, quitting my job (I have the day I'm giving my two weeks notice on my calendar... Nov. 23), having 2 weeks of spring break next semester, and that we have entirely too much candy at our house (thank you Jessica's mommy).

Have a lovely week everyone!

I'm updating!  So, since the last time I wrote... (in no particular order)

-one of my classes is over, and my prof had a girl... Mari Ellisa

-Taylor, Toby and Rachael came to a football game with me!  Fun times, for sure... and Taylor and Toby beat Super Mario World w/in 24 hours of coming to my house, and we had been stuck at the third castle for weeks.  That made me kinda feel like a loser, but it's ok.  We pretty much played nintendo the whole time we were at my house, and it was super!

-On that note, we have been playing way too much nintendo here, but it's been fun!  And Garrett has bought new games on e-bay... yay!

-I got my Aggie ring... whoop!  and then drove home with my parents, which took 5 hours because of all the evacuation traffic.

-I pulled football tickets TWICE... I'm proud of myself, I had never done that before.  I did get bad seats though...

-I'm on facebook now, so be my friend!  Jenny registered me a long time ago, and I finally confirmed it, and it was sooo sad when I logged in and it said "krista has no friends at texas a&m."  I almost quit then, but I made Jenny be my friend instead.

Hmm, well that's all I can think of now.  I'm off to do homework and such before devo.  Hopefully I can get to bed somewhat early tonight, I'll have a long day tomorrow at work, but hopefully it will be fun.  My babies are cute most of the time!

Last week I went to kindergarten all week, which was fun, except that some kid got me sick... but I'm feeling a little better today.  I started working again today, and I get to be in the infant class almost all the time that I'm working, so that's good.  AND, I'm not in the kitchen AT ALL!!!!  YAY!!!

I also started classes today.  That could have gone better, but I think they will be okay.  I always get stressed at the beginning of the semester.  But really, one of my profs is pregnant and due on Oct. 11, so she wants to finish the class before then.  So our last exam is on Oct. 5th, and we have a project due the 10th, and then class is over.  It will be nice on Oct. 11, but until then, it's crazy!  We have homework from 4 chapters due on WEDNESDAY!!!!!  This is killing me... I didn't get to go to nursing home singing tonight cause I have so much to do.  But I made a smoothie for myself, so I'm feeling better now.  Ok, homework break is over... back to work.
